Portable AC & DC Power Supplies

Further to a requirement highlighted by an overseas governmental agency, DMS has designed and manufactured a range of Red Flash™ Portable Power Supplies. These units are designed for operating in the field and for tactical units who require power for ancillary equipment. These units are fitted with Red Flash™ batteries which use absorbed glass mat technology, assembled within a Pelicase.

For safety, there is a circuit breaker on the output to protect against overload and prevent electrocution. Power is turned on via a heavy duty switch.

The system has three inputs for recharging from either a vehicle, aircraft or mains supply.

 
With the increasing demands being made on our homeland security forces, police and defence authorities the requirement for surveillance equipment continues to grow. Audio, visual and other devices require power that must be provided either on the move or in remote locations.

 The RED FLASH™ AC 1kW Portable Power Unit provides:
  • Portable power for mains powered equipment (up to 1000W for 1 hour)
  • 3 inputs for remote charging: 12VDC, 24VDC, 230VAC
  • Pure sine wave output (230V 50Hz)
  • RCD circuit breaker in mains socket
  • Ruggedised case designed to withstand high impact and extreme environments
  • Batteries capable of fast recharge
  • Typical operating temperature –20°C to +40°C
  • Ease of transportation – classified as non-hazardous cargo
  • Batteries protected from over-discharge

The RED FLASH™ AC 600 W Portable Power Unit provides:

  • Portable power for mains powered equipment (up to 300W for 1 hour)
  • 2 inputs for remote charging: 12VDC, 230VAC
  • Pure sine wave output (230V 50Hz)
  • DC output provides 24 hour run time with 20W load
  • Ruggedised case designed to withstand high impact and extreme environments
  • Typical operating temperature –20°C to +40°C
  • Ease of transportation – classified as non-hazardous cargo
  • Linkable to RF44 DC Pack or other 600W AC units for added run time.

The RED FLASH™ RF44 DC Portable Power Unit provides:

  • 12V 44Ah power unit weighing only 18kg.
  • Nominal Voltage 12V (operating voltage window 11-15V)
  • Ruggedised case designed to withstand high impact and extreme environments.
  • Typical operating temperature –20°C to +50°C.
  • 8A Charger included
  • 2 output connectors (Hirschmann 4 pole) allowing for linking to other packs and for DC output to a maximum of 10A
  • Linkable to RF600W AC Portable Power System and other RF44 units for extended run time.
