DMS technologies provided the batteries for Adrian Flanagan’s recent solo sailing circumnavigation of the globe via the
Arctic and Antarctic. During this unique voyage, which began in October 2005
Adrian and his 38 ft vessel, Barrabas, experienced not only extremes in weather but also in temperature, as low as -40°C. To help
ensure his survival throughout the journey, DMS provided battery power for engine start, service load – lighting, extensive navigation and communications systems, battery management systems, water maker, refrigerator and electrically heated clothing! Adrian said: “They were brilliant, I never had a problem with the batteries installed, they did a great job.”
