DMS has been supplying Engine Start Packs to defence agencies and
police authorities (aviation) since 1986. We have recently been
awarded a 5 year enabling contract to supply units for engine starting
of both Class A and Class B vehicles - battle tanks, armoured
vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, rotary wing aircraft and 12V vehicles.
Flat batteries at best are an inconvenience although in the worst
circumstances can endanger the lives of personnel.
The RF Powerpack is designed for man-portable use and is commonly used
in workshops and field operations where the use of conventional ground
support would prove difficult.
There are separate units for 24V and 12V military vehicles. The
Powerpacks are capable of delivering nearly 12kW of peak power
enabling them to start the most stubborn of engines.

undertaking repeated engine starts of a Challenger 2 main battle tank.
