High capacity NiMH
 

• NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries provide a far more environmentally friendly alternative to NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) cells, and can deliver up to twice the capacity of NiCd.
   

• Our high capacity packs, in particular the 12V 9Ah (D cell) and 13Ah (F cell), combine the advantages of good capacity with light weight – ideal for portable devices.
   

• The charging of such high capacity NiMH cells is critical as the charging process is exothermic and can lead to thermal runaway. Our NiMH SafeChargers – 12V and 24V – incorporate three types of charge termination: voltage sensor, a temperature sensor and a safety timer to ensure optimum safety.
   

• We have found applications for NiMH replacing heavier sealed lead acid batteries where size and weight are considered important such as mobility, mechanical handling, tow trollies and access equipment.
