-
The use of Absorbed Glass Mat technology batteries ensures that
there is no electrolyte leakage even if the casing is punctured as
well as allowing for the battery to be mounted
in virtually any orientation, with no maintenance.
-
These cells also benefit from high shock and vibration resistance
and operate well
in extreme environments.
-
Custom shapes and sizes can be met using cylindrical and prismatic
cells.
-
Operate in the harshest of environments due to their wide operating
temperature
range (-65°C to +80°C).
Renewable Energy
Solar – Wind – Water
-
The use of
renewable energy is becoming more apparent throughout all our
markets. Designing systems to sufficiently power equipment requires
a specialist understanding of both battery recharging systems and,
in the case of solar, available photovoltaic technology.
-
DMS
technologies offers batteries suitable for all renewable energy
applications: solar, wind and water.
-
We also
offer batteries with an extended temperature range (-65°C to +80°C) and
fast recharge capability.

Project: Bus
Shelters / Bus Stops
-
DMS
technologies manufactures specialist rechargeable battery packs for
use in bus stops and bus shelters to power LED’s for lighting and
display illumination. These packs have been specifically designed to
fit inside the frames or poles and are charged via solar panels
mounted on the shelter roof or bus-stop pole.
-
Apart from
the savings made through the use of solar power, these developments
help provide improved communication plus added safety and comfort
for passengers.
-
The sealed
lead acid cells used for this application have an operating
temperature range from -65°C to +80°C and benefit from excellent
shock and vibration resistance making them ideal for the purpose.
Their resistance to corrosion, long operating life as well as an ability to accept trickle
charging makes the CyclonTM range the natural choice.

Another
benefit of our AGM batteries is their ability to accept
unlimited recharge current, whereas most standard lead calcium
batteries can only accept a fraction of their rated capacity.
This means, in some applications, CyclonTM can be
recharged to 95% of its rated capacity within an hour. This
battery range has a long storage life, twice that of
conventional Sealed Lead Acid batteries, and can be stored from
fully charged for 2 years at 25°C without requiring recharging.
-
High
rate of discharge – up to 20 x Capacity [C].
-
30V and
50V units are standard, other voltages are available in 2V multiples.
