Red Flash® for Hybrid Vehicles |

We are
working alongside Traction Technology of Horsham, West Sussex, who
design and manufacture power systems for hybrid vehicles, such as
buses, with the goal of reducing the emissions these vehicles produce.
The hybrid power system replaces the standard diesel engine and
transmission, and offers improvements in both fuel consumption and
emissions.
Traction Technology has a hybrid power pack available for Optare Solo
single deck bus applications. The power pack is fitted in place of the
standard diesel engine and automatic gearbox transmission and connects
directly with the vehicle differential. |
"Battery systems for other vehicle types are being considered, in
particular those operating within towns and cities exhibiting a high
frequency of stop/start and low speed operation. Traction Technology
has the capability to provide bespoke packaged solutions using
standard components and control systems."

DMS technologies’ Red Flash® RF3500 sealed lead acid battery has been specified for
use in these applications due to its powerful, lightweight and
