The 57 Cell NiMH charger was designed to charge a DMS NiMH battery system mounted into a Datalogging Unit for a Sub-Sea application. The Datalogging unit utilises optic fibre technologies for monitoring pressure change within oil pipelines, the unit is designed to operate at 5°C.

The charger unit provides 3 charging channels for the separate on board batteries, while supplying a steady 24VDC supply to so it can perform its standard data retrieval schedule at the same time. This allows efficient operation, reduction in ‘down time’ and reduces the need for use of
ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles).
