We have two metal-cased engine start powerpacks designed to provide DC power for turbine starting and ground power support. The single pack (RF1500) will provide over 1500Amps starting power, whilst the twin pack (RF3000) will deliver over 3000Amps starting power,  maintaining a stable voltage to ensure engines are started in the most extreme environments.

Military Engine Start –
NATO Codified
 

Our Red Flash range of engine start packs includes NATO-codified 12V and 24V packs for Class A & B NATO vehicles, helicopters and smaller aircraft. We also have available a NATO-codified version of the Red Flash RF1500 compatible with aviation voltage systems. Accessories include a wide range of NATO approved vehicle and aviation connectors.

Manufactured in the UK and designed specifically for the professional user, the Red Flash Portable Power Pack is suitable for starting most 12V and 24V engines - automotive, marine and rail. All our Portable Power Packs incorporate safety features to protect both user and vehicle. Surge and spike protection circuits reduce the risk of damage to the on-board electronic systems and the On/Off isolator switch means power is available only when you need it.

Remote Portable Power
 

Our RF44DC 12V Remote Power Unit has been designed to provide silent, portable power for a wide range of equipment. Housed in a rugged case, IP67 when closed, this product,

 

initially designed for Counter Terror and Homeland Security applications, has proved equally suitable for traffic management, communications and emergency response equipment.

Solar Signs & Lighting

We produce a range of battery packs to suit solar applications.  These packs, based around the Cyclon cell,  are designed to fit in poles or frames.

DMS Branded Products – Rail
 

Using our PTS approved engineering team we are able to provide a design service that allows us to visit site and monitor existing battery applications. Using this information and 3D CAD
 

modelling tools, we can evaluate and propose an alternative low maintenance solution for signalling applications.

Battery Systems
 

We have developed a number of Red Flash battery systems up to 150Ah capacity for signalling applications. These safe, low maintenance, portable solutions are easy to install and fully recyclable. Valve regulated lead acid batteries are ideal for use on the rail network to provide backup standby power in case of mains failure and a source of instant power
 

for short high current demands. Their resistance to shock and vibration, coupled with wide operating temperatures, provide excellent performance characteristics in rail applications. The use of Cyclon cells permits voltage adjustments to provide the desired voltage for smaller signalling loads.

Small Point End Switching
 

Red Flash™ 5Ah 57 Cell System Point End Switching Battery System

Based around the 5Ah Cyclon cell, this 120V battery has the capability of operating up to 6 point ends simultaneously. Housed in a single steel tray, the battery is quick and easy to install. Together with an approved charger, DMS technologies can supply a matched package for this signalling application.

Large Point End Switching
 

Red Flash™ 25Ah 57 Cell System Multiple Point Switching

The 25Ah 120V battery used for this application can simultaneously operate up to 11 point ends. Housed within 5 portable robust steel cases, this battery solution offers many advantages over more traditional battery technology. An approved signalling switch-mode charger can be supplied together with the batteries as a system.

Red Flash™ 150Ah 24V Level Crossing Battery & Charger Kit
 

For this application we designed a 24V 150Ah Cyclon battery. Contained within 6 modules, the battery can be mounted within a lineside cabinet or equipment room. Together with an approved BR1875 charger, DMS are able to supply the total standby solution for level crossings.

Red Flash™ Replacement Battery System for the
TPWS UPS
 

At the request of Network Rail, DMS technologies designed and supplied a fit, form and function direct replacement battery for use within the 2.2kVA UPS powering the TPWS unit. The battery pack uses a high quality, 10 year life AGM battery. The battery is mounted either within the UPS module or on a specially designed 19” battery tray within the line-side cabinet.
